Key dates for the LIFF 2026 launch

As we approach the official launch of the 40th Anniversary edition of LIFF 2026, we wanted to highlight some of the key dates for this year’s festival, including when you can view the programme, purchase passes and book tickets.

This year, we’ll be launching the programme online earlier than ever. From 1 October, you’ll be able to explore the full LIFF 2026 programme and purchase festival passes.

Individual film tickets will then go on sale at 9pm on 8 October, following our Programme Preview event, where we’ll introduce this year’s festival and showcase a selection of trailer highlights. You will also be able to pick up a free LIFF printed programme guide from this date.

Launching the programme early gives audiences more time to plan what they want to see, and gives passholders time to make sure their passis ready to go, helping to avoid any delays when tickets go on sale.
