Accessible Screenings
We aim to make Leeds International Film Festival accessible and inclusive for all audiences by providing affordable and free tickets, accessible venues, captioning and sign-language support, autism friendly screenings, and programme materials in multiple accessible formats. Audio Description
Audio description is commentary that aims to describe body language, expressions and movements to blind or partially sighted audience members.
Descriptive Subtitles
Films with additional descriptive subtitles of non-dialogue audio, combining the information of both subtitles and captions. They include important non-dialogue audio like sound effects and speaker identification.
Free Screenings
Our free screenings offer accessible cinema experiences, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy films at the festival without financial barriers.
Autism Friendly Screenings
Autism Friendly screenings are screenings where the environment has been adapted to be more welcoming and accessible to people with additional needs. These could be people living with autism, or other people with neurodiversity.
