Leeds Young Film Brings Upgraded VR Experiences to Breeze in the Park
With support from the BFI National Lottery Audience Projects Fund, Leeds Young Film has invested in new VR technology as part of its ongoing commitment to making screen experiences, storytelling and digital creativity more accessible to children and young people.
The upgraded headsets offer improved display quality, comfort and performance, helping to create a more engaging and immersive experience for audiences. Young people aged 7+ will be able to explore imaginative digital worlds through a specially selected programme of VR experiences.
Breeze in the Park is a touring summer event for families and young people, bringing sun, fun, sports, arts and inflatable to parks across Leeds. Entry is just £1 per child, and the Leeds Young Film VR Cinema tent is included in the ticket price.
Breeze in the Park runs from 28 July to 28 August 2026. For children with additional needs who require a quieter session such as those with a disability or SEND, Breeze will also run relaxed events that will include additional staff on hand to assist, minimal queueing and crowds and designated parking either on-site or nearby where possible.
