Eleanor Hales (she/her)

Ellie has worked with Leeds Film since 2021 in both programming and operations. Her programming focus is mainly fiction features by early-career directors, with emphasis on stories about/by women and marginalised genders. Alongside LIFF, she has also programmed for young people with the INDIs and Leeds Young Film Festival. 

Previously, she curated EUNIC: In Short Europe Film Festival, interned with Raindance London, volunteers with Scalarama Leeds and organises events with her community events organisation Come On In. When she’s not working on festivals, you can find her at Hyde Park Picture House where she works as a cinema assistant and co-programmes Guilt-Free Pleasures.
