Fran is a filmmaker and programmer who has been part of the Leeds DIY film scene since 2021, screening first with Scalarama, an annual celebration of independent film exhibition. Together with her friend Sally, she runs a small event organisation and production company called Milk Teeth. Their regular short film night North by Northeast (NXNE) supports local filmmakers, giving them a platform to showcase their work.
At Hyde Park Picture House she works both in Front of House and Projection where she also gets her weekly fix of new releases. Fran has a soft spot for American indie films, particularly for the work of Kelly Reichardt and Alex Ross Perry.
