Sam Whitaker

Sam Whitaker is the founder and director of Out For Blood Queer Horror Film Festival, a pioneering festival celebrating LGBTQ+ voices in horror. Since launching the festival in 2017, Sam has programmed, judged and promoted hundreds of queer short films from filmmakers around the world, with a particular passion for bold, original and underrepresented voices. Now based in Yorkshire, Sam is also a marketing and communications professional and is passionate about championing queer filmmakers and creating opportunities for LGBTQ+ stories to be seen, celebrated and shared.
