Lukas Dhont returns with the love story of a young soldier and a theatre troupe leader in this award-winning First World War drama.

Pierre is a timid young farm boy, forced into the Belgian trenches of WWI. Once there, he is entranced by the charismatic and gentle tailor Francis, who leads a band of cabaret performers, there to provide the only form of escape and entertainment for men on the front. Dhont continues to examine queerness and masculinity in this tender exploration of forbidden love.

"Dhont deftly and affectingly captures the physical and psychological brutality of the battlefield and delivers a powerful queer love story for the ages." — James Kleinmann, The Queer Review
