A poignant coming of age drama that explores family politics and unsettling truths that can often lie beneath the surface.

This powerful debut from director Shalini Adnani, centres the perspective of 12 year old Maya, who returns to her rural home in India with her mother to reconnect with her estranged father. However, the excitement soon unravels as she begins to witness the true reality behind her family’s legacy and the cover-ups and corruption that surround it.

"Shalini Adnani crafts a praiseworthy debut feature film about a young teenager waking up to the guilt-ridden complexity of her environment" — Fabien Lemercier, Cineuropa
