A fiercely inventive work of feminist speculative fiction, Lizzie Borden’s Born in Flames imagines a near-future New York where revolution has benefited only the privileged.

As groups of women organise resistance, Borden’s kinetic collage of television news, protest and underground radio crackles with punk energy and the possibility of building a new world in the shell of the old. Driven by a thrilling post-punk soundtrack, this exhilarating classic remains defiantly ahead of its time.

"A thrilling time capsule of New York places and moods and a vision of necessary social change." — Richard Brody, The New Yorker
