 Ambush | Kameen
A pop-up techno club in Amman. Inside, Jana’s fresh start is being challenged. Outside, Hasan quietly swallows heartbreak. They are two strangers on opposite sides of the street. A mesmerising portrait of loneliness, longing and resilience in a city in flux. |
 Milk
A tooth extraction introduces a watchful child to his mother’s new love. In Milk, tenderness turns grotesque, ordinary gestures uncanny, and love unfolds as a tale equal parts sweet and unsettling. |
 Chica
12-year-old Dadá sets off with her younger brother Tato to deliver a chicken to a local restaurant. But when she discovers Tato's close bond with the chicken, the journey becomes an awakening to vegetarianism, violence, and the power of imaginative play. |
 Gloryland
A dream of an enigmatic light triggers disappearances, leaving behind glowing human silhouettes. Hazy and experimental, the tale is witnessed in an eden-like allotment garden, where non-human witnesses and rumours of a healer from Mauritius deepen the mystery. |
"Vaterland" or A Bule Named Yanto
When German-Indonesian Yanto returns to Yogyakarta from Berlin, he finds his younger sister belongs more effortlessly than he does. Equally hilarious and heartbreaking, this sharp episodic portrait of mixed-race identity captures the ache of in-betweenness. |
