In 1998 Japan, the Czech Republic team have just won the gold medal in Olympic ice hockey. Back at home, 11 year old Dom watches in admiration as his new idols take the podium. Dom longs to play ice hockey but his family are unable to support his passion. Against all odds, Dom and his friends set out to form their own hockey team and defeat their local rivals. With the support of an eccentric former hockey player as their coach, will they prove everyone wrong and win the respect of their families? Big dreams is an underdog comedy filled with big laughs, big ambitions and even bigger characters.
