Over the course of a year, six young dancers from a range of backgrounds train to compete in one of the world's biggest ballet competitions: the Youth America Grand Prix. With only a handful of elite scholarships available, the pressure mounts as hundreds compete. From two siblings who have moved across the country with their family to attend the best schools, to a young dancer born in Sierra Leone who lost her family during the war, each dancer strives for success whilst battling the ups and downs of adolescence. Bess Kargman's documentary is a compelling look at the dedication and sacrifices made by these children featuring stunning dance scenes which are sure to inspire any young dancer watching.
