Pompo is one of the biggest B-movie studio execs in all of Nyallywood. Usually specialising in cult and trash films, everything changes when she hands her assistant Gene the directing reigns on a serious biopic. Throwing himself into the process of directing his first feature film but with so much work to do, Gene struggles with being true to his creativity in the corporate machine. Takayuki Hirao’s striking anime is a fun-filled, vibrant ode to filmmaking and following your dreams.
