Thought Bubble Comic Art Festival

A new friendship will put a song in our hearts. In a New York City populated, wonderfully, by animals, Dog spends evenings alone until a new robot friend arrives. From day one, Dog and Robot are besties and enjoy the best of an NYC late summer: skating at the park, boating on the lake, swimming at the beach. But swimming and electronics don’t mix, and sadly, Dog’s buddy is stranded, perhaps until the spring! Based on Sara Varon's graphic novel, this gorgeously relatable ode to friendship’s knotty feelings is perfect for pals of any species or maker. (Please note this film is rated PG and recommended for ages 8 and over.)

The screening at 10:30 on 5 November is Pay as You Feel and is presented as a Relaxed Screening for neurodivergent audiences with their companions and assistants. Relaxed Screenings are designed for those who would appreciate a less formal cinema environment, including with film volume lowered slightly and cinema light levels raised slightly. For more information please email leeds.film@leeds.gov.ukand visit our Accessible Screenings at LIFF 2023 page for more information and other accessible screenings at the festival.
