Fernanda Tovar’s award-winning debut is an intimate, deeply empathetic portrait of female friendship in the aftermath of trauma.

Paula and La Maestra are inseparable friends and star swimmers until an incident at a party tests their bond as they struggle with differing responses to what happened. With exceptional performances from Rocío Guzmán and Darana Álvarez, this sensitive coming-of-age drama explores how young women navigate sexual violence, friendship and the possibility of finding joy again.

"A sensitive and knowing study of female teenage friendship, powered by strong performances from its young leads." — Nikki Baughan, Screen Daily
