Juanjo is a shy, asthmatic teen suffocated by his over protective family. Miquel is a confident boy from a difficult home. After Juanjo introduces Miquel to heavy metal music, they both find the identity they've been searching for. Featuring vibrant animation and simple faceless characters, Tender Metalheads conveys so much through so little. A boistrously musical trip through teenhood which won the Best Feature Film award, as well as the Teen Jury Award, at Animest 2023. This film is presented as a relaxed screening, designed for those who would appreciate a less formal cinema environment, including with film volume lowered slightly and cinema light levels raised slightly.
