Cinema Versa
Discover the year’s most thrilling and creative documentaries in Cinema Versa, which this year opens with the homegrown wonder of Ultimate Thunder and closes with Once Upon a Time in Harlem, a perfect time capsule of African-American cultural history. We’re launching a new competition this year, with UK premieres of some of the most innovative documentary features by emerging filmmakers, from Argentina to Benin. Highlights outside of competition include Rehearsals for a Revolution, an extraordinary political protest film from Iran, the jaw-dropping nature film Nuisance Bear, and the poignant portrait of North Korean teenagers in School for Defectors. There will be several guests at Cinema Versa screenings for introductions, Q&As, and panels.
